Of all the state parks that I have visited, Meridian State Park was by far at the top of the list: Small, beautiful lake, wonderful CCC work and the nicest stand of Cedar trees I have ever seen. The painting “Meridian Crossing” depicts a CCC bridge, and the inflow slough to the lake replete with water lily pads at a relaxing campground. It was just a perfect, cool morning for this painting .
